On November 5, 1935, Parker Brothers began marketing the board game Monopoly. Originally conceived by Elizabeth Magie in 1903 as "The Landlord's Game" to illustrate the negative aspects of land monopolism, it was later adapted and sold by Parker Brothers. It quickly became a cultural phenomenon, translated into numerous languages and played by millions worldwide, enduring as a classic symbol of capitalism and property trading.

On November 5, 1605, Guy Fawkes was discovered guarding explosives beneath the House of Lords in London. He was part of a Catholic conspiracy, the Gunpowder Plot, aimed at assassinating King James I and much of the Protestant aristocracy during the State Opening of Parliament. The plot failed, and Fawkes, along with his co-conspirators, was arrested, tortured, and executed. This day is still commemorated annually in the UK with bonfires and fireworks, known as Guy Fawkes Night. It's a reminder of a pivotal moment in British history.
